FFC 2012 Theme: The 2012 theme for Fall Family Camp is “Jungle Tails”, based on The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. In 1914, Baden-Powell began implementing a program for younger boys that was based on Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book. That program became the Cub Scouts and a strong influence from Kipling's Jungle Book remains today. The terms "Law of the Pack," "Akela," "Wolf Cub," "grand howl," "den," and "pack" all come from the Jungle Book. So come join Mowgli on an adventure of a lifetime along with his friends!
More Info: See the files attached below for more details about FFC, general info about Bert Adams Scout Reservation, and a Map to Bert Adams (located in Covington, GA).
Required Health Forms: This is an overnight trip of less than 72 hours, so by BSA rules, a separate Annual BSA Health and Medical Record Form, Parts A & B, must be submitted for each person attending (scouts, parents, siblings, etc.). This form is valid for one year, so submitting it now will cover you for every event until this time next year. The form is attached below. Please download the form and populate as much as possible before printing it out. Bring completed forms to the Pack Meeting on Oct 6th, or contact Greg Foreman for other delivery options.
Youth Protection Training: All Adult Leaders should complete Youth Protection Training before attending this trip. Also, it is highly recommended that all parents also complete this training. It is available on-line and can be completed in less than an hour. Go to www.myscouting.org, create a log-in account, and take the course. Once you've completed the course, save or print a copy of your completion certificate and submit it to Alan Seal or Greg Foreman.
