KITS: The Raingutter Regatta boat kits are handed out at the Sept. Pack Meeting. If you have not received your kit, please contact your Den Leader ASAP.
For help making your boat, Google ‘Raingutter Regatta’ for tips and tricks, or check out this Scouts' Life video.
All boats must pass a pre-race inspection at time of check-in. Once boats have passed inspection, they will be held by the Raingutter Regatta Committee until race time and can no longer be modified.
The Flag Ceremony will start promptly at 9:00 AM on Saturday morning and races will start immediately afterwards. There will be round-robin races at the Den Level to determine the Den champs and then additional races will determine the champs for each rank. Finally, the champs from each rank will compete with one another to determine the Pack champions.
Each Cub must race his own boat. If a Cub has to leave early, then he loses his slots in any future races. The next Cub in line behind him will take his position. For the Design award, the Cub does not need to be present to win. So, even if your Cub cannot attend, he or she should go ahead and build a boat and have a friend drop it off at check-in.
